Illinois schools have had their first round of mandated CPR/AED training sessions with students since their new law went into effect. The school admits it doesn’t cost as much as they feared it would, and the potential pay out is huge.
The Illinois school law was passed after a girl collapsed during a sports game in 2008. There was an AED (Automated External Defibrillator) on the premise, BUT it was not used until paramedics arrived 13 minutes later.
Safety Solved urges all businesses to install AEDs and train on CPR. It could be you who saves a life.
